Kettles are one of the humblest of elements when decorated and makes something so ordinary look stunning to say the least. The scope to paint on kettles is limitless and has no boundaries. Here’s our take on embroidery stitches that we have artistically adapted on a kettle using Fevicryl 3D Outliners.
Take a plain metal kettle.
Give a base coat of Fevicryl Acrylic Colour – Black 02 with a bit of talcum powder added to it, giving it texture. Let it dry
Take a gateway paper and draw a pattern inspired by an embroidery pattern. One that would be suitable to be adapted on the circumference of the kettle.
Trace the embroidery pattern on the circumference of the kettle using white carbon paper.
Outline the pattern using Fevicryl 3D Outliner - White 707, just as you see in the image.
Highlight the pattern by introducing Fevicryl 3D Outliners - Red 701 and Yellow 703 in between. This will heighten the look. Let it dry.
Dye cobbler thread with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour – Crimson 04 and let it dry completely. Wind and stick the thread on the plastic portion on the kettle’s handle using Fevicryl Fabric Glue, lending an aesthetic look. Once completed the attractive kettle with embroidery pattern will look like this.
