Make this table runner with the fabric pieces and replicate the chain stitch around the fabric patches. This will be the beaMakeutiful accent for your home.
We are going to make the appliqué work table runner using the kutchi motifs from traditional aari work. We are replicating the chain stitch to decorate the runner. Take the red cotton fabric for the runner.
Take a3 white papers, draw the Motifs inspired from the Kutchi work( kutchi bharat work) on it. Trace the same design on the red fabric with white carbon paper. Refer to the image.
Source the colourful fabric pieces to cut the motifs.
Mark and cut the motifs of flowers, leaves, peacocks and parrots from the fabric. Refer to the image.
Stick the fabric pieces appropriately using Fabric Glue. Let it dry. Refer to the image.
Stick the foil mirrors with Fabric Glue in between the design. Paint the design around the motifs by replicating the chain stitch using Fevicryl 3D Outlinerblue 702, Yellow 703, Light Green 704, Orange 705, White 707 and Black 708. Let it dry. Refer to the image.
Attach the yellow woolen tassels towards the both ends of the runner along with the wooden bead. Your table runner will look like this.
