Zen Tealites

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, Light Green 12, Orange 17, Prussian Blue 19, Sap Green 21, Violet 25, White 27, Sky Blue 63, Fevicryl Pastel Acrylic Colour Off Cream, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes. Description :

Crafted with Mouldit clay and corrugated sheet, this zen-themed tealight décor brings a peaceful vibe. The hand-painted girl faces add a gentle, artistic charm.

STEP 1 : Procure the base and cut shape
  • We are going to make the zen tealite holders using faces of the girls and the surrounding flora and fauna motifs.  

  • Take corrugated sheet, mark and cut a random shape along with the hole for holding tealite.  

  • We are making 3 such tealites 

STEP 2 : Prepare the clay and build
  • Take Mouldit resin and hardener, mix well to make even dough. Take the dough, roll it to make the slab with rolling pin.  

  • Cut the slab in the shape of the corrugated base.  

  • Cover the base with the slab using Fabric glue.  

  • Let it dry. 

STEP 3 : Draw the design

 

  • Draw the girls and the surrounding flora and fauna motifs on the tealite base 

STEP 4 : Build the motifs with clay

 

  • Take some clay to build the motifs using clay modelling tools and Fabric Glue.  

  • Let it dry. Refer to the image 

STEP 5 : Paint the tealite

 

  • Paint the teallite with Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, Light Green 12, Orange 17, Prussian Blue 19, Sap Green 21, Violet 25, White 27, Sky Blue 63 and Pastel Acrylic Colour Off Cream.  

  • Let it dry. 

STEP 6 : Final painting

 

  • Paint the details with the small elements for finishing touches. 

STEP 7 : Finishing touches

 

  • Build the other 2 tealites with similar style and paint it with appropriate colours 

 

STEP 8 : Final look

 

  • Your 3 Zen tealites will look like this.
