Description :

This batwa (small pouch) showcases the vibrant and unique patterns of tie-dye made with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours. Swirls and blends of multiple colors create an eye-catching and handcrafted aesthetic. Embellishments like small mirrors and decorative stitching add texture and visual interest to the fabric. It's a unique handmade bag to carry for any festive or special occasions.

STEP 1 : Paint the Cloth
  • Let us make a batwa in a famous Kutchi print.
  • First thing, you can take a cotton cloth of size 15 X 20 inches.
  • Fold the cloth and tie threads in equal segaments.
  • Paint the in-between tied cloth with vibrant colours using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours.
  • Untie the threads and let the cloth dry.
  • This is how you can create a tie and dye printed cloth for the Kutchi batwa.
STEP 2 : Trace the template
  • Take the cloth and trace the pre-designed batwa template using pencil and ruler.
  • Make sure your dimensions are appropriate and taken on a plain surface to avoid uneven tracing.
STEP 3 : Cut the cloth
  • Cut along the lines of the dimensions for a dimensional cutout using scissors.
STEP 4 : Design the cloth
  • Take Fevicryl 3D Outliners and paint the outlines on the sides of the cloth.
  • Choose any kutchi design and start painting the cloth.
  • For decoration, you can stick ornamental stones and assorted mirrors using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
  • For a finished look, you can use Fevicryl 3D Outliners and outline the stones.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 5 : Attach the base
  • Use Buckram Cloth inside the base of the Batwa to keep it sturdy.
  • Cut out the left-over cloth and make the handle of the Batwa.
  • Stick the fabric on a canvas sheet to keep the handle moving and bend it.
  • Stitch the colourful beads and pom-poms on the four edges of the Batwa.
  • Stitch the handle to the top of the Batwa where all the four conical edges meet.

STEP 6 : Final Look
  • Your Kutchi print Batwa is all set to be adorned and carried for wedding functions.
