Transform old buttermilk churners into vibrant danglers or wind chimes using clay rings and colourful acrylic patterns, perfect for adding a unique and artistic touch to your home decor.

STEP 1 : Procure the Base
  • Begin by selecting old used buttermilk churners that you will decorate and convert into danglers or wind chimes.
STEP 2 : Prepare the Clay and Make Clay Rings
  • Create rings to attach to the handle of the churner. Mix Mouldit resin and hardener to form an even dough and shape it into rings using clay modelling tools.
  • Refer to the image for guidance.
STEP 3 : Paint the Buttermilk Churner
  • Apply a base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27, followed by Neon Pink 018, Pastel Lavender, and Chrome Yellow 03 on the churner. Let it dry completely.
STEP 4 : Paint the Patterns
  • Use a pencil to draw various patterns like dots, lines, zig-zag patterns, leaves, and slanting lines on the churner. Paint these patterns with Acrylic Colours Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Light Green 12, Prussian Blue 19, Violet 25, White 27, and Sky Blue 63.
