Wind Chime For Valentine's Day

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Crimson 04, Violet 25, White 27, Salmon Pink 65, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fine Art Brushes, Clay Modeling, Paper Cutter, Used Plastic Bowl, White Wool, Scissors, Colour Palette, Water Container

Love is all around us and this cute Valentine DIY will remind us of this, every time it chimes. Made lovingly with the things you will find around the house this will be a gift to cherish.

STEP 1 : Source the base
  • We are going to make a chime for Valentine’s  Day with symbols of hugs and kisses using Mouldit and plastic bowl.
  • Take a plain plastic bowl.
STEP 2 : Paint the base
  • Paint the bowl with the base coat of Acrylic Colour Salmon Pink 65 and little amount of White 27.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 3 : Mix Mouldit
  • Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 4 : Mould the pieces
  • Take the dough, shape it to make the xoxo cut outs - symbols for hugs and kisses and make a few hearts out of the clay.
  • Let it get semi dry then pierce the holes towards the upper and towards the bottom side for each motif with clay carving tools.
  • Let it dry.
  • Refer to the image.
STEP 5 : Paint them
  • Paint the xoxo and heart symbols with Acrylic Colours Crimson 04, Violet 25 and White 27
  • Let it dry completely.
STEP 6 : String them
  • Take the white wool, red beads and the xoxo and heart symbols, pass the thread through the beads, xoxo and heart symbols to make a strand.
  • Attach a bell towards the end of the strand.
STEP 7 : Finishing
  • Take the bowl, paint small and big hearts on it randomly in linear style using Acrylic Colours White 27 and Crimson 04. Paint the dot with violet 25 by adding White 27 in each heart. Let it dry
  • Attach the strands to the bowl neatly to make the dangler for Valentine’s Day.
