You Will Need:

A Mixed Media DIY that brings rustic element to your walls! A touch of creativity and Fevicryl products bring these décor pieces to life.

STEP 1 : Make the design
  • We are going to make the tribal faces with corrugated box flap and Mouldit.
  • Take an A4 white paper, draw the tribal face on it.
  • Take corrugated box flap, draw and cut the box flap face from it.
  • Refer to the image.
STEP 2 : Make the face with Mouldit
  • Make the face by building it with Mouldit.
  • Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
  • Take the dough, roll it to make the medium thin slab with a rolling pin.
STEP 3 : Moulding the mask
  • Mark and cut the slab in the size of the face to cover it using Fabric Glue for sticking.
  • Let it dry.
  • Make the details on the face with some clay and stick it with Fabric Glue.

STEP 4 : Make 3 masks
  • Similarly make 3 such faces.
STEP 5 : Paint them
  • Paint the faces with Acrylic Colours Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Dark Brown 05, Dark Green 06, White 27, Leaf Green 62, Sky Blue 63, Salmon Pink 65, Coral Red 66, Teal Blue 68, 3D Outliner Orange 705 and White 707.
  • Leave it to dry completely.
STEP 6 : Assembly
  • Take the wooden tray.
  • Paint the tray with light wash of brown colour using Acrylic Colour Dark Brown 05. Let it dry.
  • Stick the faces in the tray using a little amount of the clay and Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry.
  • Decorated and enhance the faces by sticking the painted cord and colourful glass beads on the head gear of the tribal faces using Fabric Glue.
  • Let it dry.
