We have a super cool DIY tote bag here that pays an ode to the most important element in the rags to riches tale of Cinderella, the shoe. Recreated with Fevicryl range of products this is surely a fab accessory to a quirky you!
STEP 1 : Source the base
- We are going to paint a tote bag with the Cindrella shoe and the motifs from the famous fairy tale story Cindrella.
- Take the plain white tote bag.
STEP 2 : Paint the base and draw the design.
- Paint the tote bag with the wash of blue shade made by mixing Acrylic Colours Prussian Blue 19, White 27 and Cerulean Blue 32 by leaving the area of the cushion and the shoe in the centre of the tote bag.
- Let it dry.
- Draw the motifs like the pumpkin cart, the clock tower from the story on the background.
- Refer to the image.
STEP 3 : Make the cushion and the shoe
- Take the pink and grey felt fabric, mark and cut the shape of the cushion and the shoe out of it.
- Paint the pumpkin cart and the clock tower with Acrylic Colours Pearl White 301.
- Leave it to dry.
STEP 4 : Stick the elements
- Stick the cushion and the shoe on the tote bag with Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
- Paint the shoe with Acrylic Colour White 27.
- Let it dry.
STEP 5 : Assembly and finishing
- Paint few stars and the spiral design with grey using Acrylic Colour White 27 and Black 02.
- Let it dry.
- Start sticking the assorted ornamental stones, Ball Chain and the Beads on the shoes with Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Final look
- Your bag will look like this after finishing.
