This diy project will teach you how to up cycle any waste things lying around us into beautiful piece of home décor. We have tried making the leather lamp shade from Andhra Pradesh using plastic bottle of any Cold drink. Make this diy at home and enhance your living room space.
We are going to use a scrap cold drink bottle for the base along with the tissue paper and Acrylic Colours. Take a 2 ½ ltr cold drink bottle.
Mark the height and cut the bottle to form the base of the lampshade (take the centre part of the bottle). Refer to the image.
Take the plain tissue paper and stick one layer of tissue on the bottle using Fabric Glue and little amount of water. Let it dry.
Paint the base coat with a light shade of cream colour just to replicate and depict the leather finish effect using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow 03 and White 27. Let it dry.
Take A3 white paper, draw the traditional design of Tholubommalata art on it. Trace the same design on the base with black carbon paper.
Paint the design using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02. Let it dry. Your lamp shade base is ready.

Attach the electrical attachments to make it usable. Your lampshade with Tholubommalata art is ready.
