Transform a plain skirt into a statement piece with bold typography and motifs using vibrant fabric colors. This project guides you in creating eye-catching, custom-designed apparel that bends and breaks the rules of fashion.
STEP 1 : Source the base material
- We are going to paint the skirt with typography using Fabric Colours.
- Take a plain dark grey skirt.
STEP 2 : Draw and trace the design.
- Take A4 white paper and draw two different typographies: “bend the rules” and “break the rules” along with motifs of hammers and arrows.
- Trace the same design on the skirt with white carbon paper.
STEP 3 : Paint the design
- Paint the typography and motifs using Fevicryl Fabric Colours Black 202, Chrome Yellow 203, Crimson 204, Golden Yellow 209, and White 227. Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Finishing touches
- Similarly, paint the other typography, “bend the rules,” towards the bottom side corner of the skirt using similar shades.
STEP 5 : Final look
- Your skirt with the bold and creative typography design is now complete and ready to wear.
