Radha With Lotus Motif On Terracotta Pan

Have some old plates lying around? Paint an eclectic design on it using Fevicryl range of products and following the steps in the recipes.

STEP 1 : Source the base
  • We are going to paint Radha with Lotus motifs using Mouldit and Acrylic Colours.
  • Take a plain prewashed terracotta plate
STEP 2 : Draw the design
  • Draw Radha with lotuses on the plate.
STEP 3 : Mix Fevicryl Mouldit
  • We are going to make the lotuses using Mouldit.
  • Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 4 : Roll the slab
  • Take the dough, roll it to make a medium thin slab with a rolling pin.
STEP 5 : Mould and paste the flowers.
  • Draw and cut the lotus flowers and buds from the slab, let it get semi dry.
  • Stick the lotus and bud cutouts aesthetically on the traced design using Fabric Glue.
  • Let it dry.
  • Refer to the image.
STEP 6 : Paint the elements
  • Paint the face, the lotus flowers and buds in shading manner using Acrylic Colours Black 02, Crimson 04, Dark Brown 05, Golden Yellow 09, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27, Flesh Tint 30, Cerulean Blue 32, Deep Brilliant Purple 64 and Neon Pink 018.
  • Let it dry completely.
  • Your plate will look like this.
