Pooja Thali With Kutchi Toran Style

You Will Need:

Embroidery patterns of India are so unique and beautiful that they can be used in myriad ways like this pooja thali. Isn’t it pretty! Make this in a jiffy with Fevicryl range of products.

STEP 1 : Source the base
  • We are going to make the Pooja thali with the motifs from Kutchi toran with foil mirrors.
  • Take the plain Aluminum Plate (thali) measuring 10” diameter approximately.
STEP 2 : Paint the base
  • Paint the plate with the base coat of acrylic colour White 27 and after drying first coat apply second coat of Crimson 04 and Maroon 14.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 3 : Transfer the design
  • Take A3 white paper draw the traditional Kutchi Motifs in the size of the plate on it.
  • Trace the same design on the plate with white carbon paper.
STEP 4 : Paint the design
  • Paint the border of the plate with Acrylic colour Dark Green 06 and Greenery 67.
  • Let it dry.
  • Paint the design by replicating the chain stitch design using Acrylic Colour Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, Maroon 14, Orange 17, White 27, Greenery 67 and Neon Pink 018.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 5 : Enhance the design
  • Enhance the plate by sticking the foil mirrors in between the design with fabric Glue.
  • Let it dry.
