Peacock Jhoola For Small Ganesha Idol

How creative is this DIY, a dev jhoola with corrugated sheets and some Fevicryl products! Make and customize your own this festive season!

STEP 1 : Source the base
  • We are going to make the Peacock shaped Jhoola with corrugated sheet enhanced with kundan.
  • Take the corrugated sheet.
  • Draw the peacock design arch on it.
  • Refer to the image.
STEP 2 : Cut the parts of the jhoola
  • Mark and cut two such arch shapes, with the rectangular shaped base to make the asana (chair of jhoola), the “U” shaped back rest of asana out of the corrugated sheet.
  • Refer to the image.
STEP 3 : Stick the asana
  • Attach and stick the parts of the asana together neatly with Fabric Glue.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Make the base
  • We must make a rectangular base for the peacock arch as well as 2 small rectangular base to support the arch further to take the load of small idol of Ganesha. Use Fabric Glue to secure the ends while sticking it together.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 5 : Do a base coat
  • Paint the base of the jhoolas with the base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27.
  • Let it dry.
  • Take the red, golden beads and pearls, pass the thread through the beads to make the beaded strand.
  • Attach the beaded strand to the asana neatly.
  • Refer to the image.
STEP 6 : Decorate the Asana
  • Paint the peacock arched, the asana and the small rectangular base with Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow 03, Dark Green 06, Orange 17, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352.
  • Let it dry.
  • Enhance the peacock arched, the feather fan, the body and crown of peacock, the small rectangular base, the asana by sticking the assorted ornamental stones and the golden ball chain aesthetically using Fabric Glue.
  • Let it dry completely.
STEP 7 : Assembly
  • Attach the small rectangular pieces on the base of the arch and attach the arch on the big rectangular base align with the jhoola to the arch using Fabric Glue.
  • Let it dry completely.
