Craft distinctive incense stick holder in the shape of an onion using Mouldit and vibrant acrylic colors. This project involves preparing the clay, shaping the holder, painting the base coat, and adding intricate details to resemble the patterns of an onion.
STEP 1 : Prepare the clay and build the shape
- Mix Fevicryl Mouldit resin and hardener thoroughly to create an even dough.
- Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to form a medium-thin slab.
- Draw and cut the outline of the onion shape from the slab. Lift the edges of the slab upward to create a proper border for the holder.
- Use additional clay to sculpt the lips with a pierced hole for the incense stick and the eyes. Attach these elements using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
STEP 2 : Paint the base coat
- Paint the entire surface of the holder with a base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27. Allow it to dry completely.
STEP 3 : Paint the onion
- Draw the inner patterns of the onion on the base shape.
- Paint these patterns using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, Maroon 14, Violet 25, White 27, and Deep Brilliant Purple 64. Ensure the colors create a vibrant and realistic representation of an onion. Let the paint dry completely. Refer to the image for guidance.
