Mushroom House With Plastic Container
You Will Need:
Plastic Container, MDF Coaster, Clay Carving Tools, Rolling Pin, Paper Cutter, Colour Palette, Water Container
Description :
Recycle and reuse- the mantra for this generation to save Earth and save us! Here is a cute DIY to recycle waste plastic containers and turn them into fairy houses to hold knick knacks.
STEP 1 : Prepare the base
• Take a plastic container and mark the door and the windows on it.
STEP 2 : Mixing Fevicryl Mouldit
• Take Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 3 : Rolling the dough
• Take the dough; roll it to make a medium thin slab with a rolling pin.
• Let it get semi dry.
STEP 4 : Making the mushroom cap
• Take any plastic bowl in the size of the periphery of the container.
• Place the slab on it to make the cap of mushroom. Remove the excess clay.
• Let it get semi dry.
STEP 5 : Making the base of the house
• Remove the clay cap from the plastic bowl.
• Take some dough and attach the cap to the plastic container using a little amount of the Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
• Create gills below the cap with clay carving tools.
• Similarly take some dough to make the door, and a chimney of the house using little amount of Fabric Glue for sticking. Let it get semi dry.
• Create the wood texture to the door and the windows with clay carving tools.
• Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Painting the house
• Take the MDF coaster. Stick the mushroom house on it with some clay and Fabric Glue.
• Take some dough to create the pebbles and the floor around the house. Stick it around the house with Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
• Paint the house and the base with Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Dark Brown 05, Light Green 12, White 27, Deep Brilliant Purple 64 and Coral Red 66. Let it dry completely.
