You Will Need :

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, Golden Yellow 09, Lemon Yellow 11, Orange 17, Yellow Ochre 26, White 27, Coral Red 66, Fevicryl 3 D Outliner Pearl Pearl White 301, Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, MDF Wooden Box , Ornamental Round And Leaf Shape Stones (yellow, white), Zardozi, Cutdaana, Assorted Small Glass Beads, Small Size Poth, A3 White Paper, Black, Red Carbon Paper, Pencil, Scissors, Paper Cutter, Clay Carving Tools, Colour Palette, Water Container.

STEP 1 : Drawing the design
None

• We are going to make the mixed media box with miniature design of the horses on it.

• Take an A3 white paper draw the miniature design of the horses along with the butta design as the border for the walls of the box.

 

STEP 2 : Painting the base coat
Painting the base coat

• Take MDF wooden box; paint the box with the base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27.

• Let it dry.

 

STEP 3 : Trace the design
Trace the design

• Trace the same design on the lid with black carbon paper.

STEP 4 : Paint the horse
None

• Paint the horses in shading effect with Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, White 27 and the caparisons with Dark Green 06, Golden Yellow 09 and Orange 17.

• Let it dry.

 

STEP 5 : Paint the background
None

• Paint the background of the horses with Acrylic Colours Golden Yellow 09 and Lemon Yellow 11.

• Let it dry.

 

STEP 6 : Make the details with Mouldit
None

• Make the caparisons details with Mouldit.

• Take Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.

• Take the dough; make small parts of the caparisons, the leather cords with the coils of the Mouldit.

• Stick the caparisons parts appropriately with Fabric Glue. 

• Let it dry.

• Draw a simple flower creeper design beside the horses.

 

STEP 7 : Making and Painting flowers
None

• Take some clay to make the simple flowers out if it. Let the flowers get dry.

• Paint the flowers with light shade of orange made by mixing Acrylic colour Orange 17 and White 27. Let it dry.

• Take the Zardosi wire and stick as of the branches of the creeper using Fabric glue. Let it dry.

• Stick the Mouldit flowers to the creeper with Fabric glue.

• Paint the design on the caparisons of the back and head with 3 D Outliner Pearl Metallic Gold 352 and Pearl White 301. Leave it to dry completely.

• Stick the small beads by sticking it with Fabric Glue around and on the leather belt of the caparisons with Fabric Glue.

• Leave it to dry completely.

 

 

STEP 8 : Paint the walls
None

• Paint the walls of the box with Acrylic Colour Crimson 04, Lemon Yellow 11 and Orange 17.

• Leave it to dry.

• Trace the butta border design on the walls of the box with Red Carbon Paper.

 

STEP 9 : Enhancing the butta on walls
None

• Enhance the butta design by sticking small Mouldit flowers, Ornamental Round And Leaf Shape Stones, Zardozi, Cutdaana, Assorted Small Glass Beads and Small Size Poth using Fabric Glue.

• Stick the round shape yellow stones on the edges of the lid of the box with Fabric Glue.

• Stick few small clay coils on the legs of the box with Fabric Glue.

• Paint the coils with Acrylic Colour Orange 17.

• Leave it to dry.

• Refer to the image.

 

STEP 10 : Box is ready
