Minakari Backdrop For Ganesh Festival

You Will Need:

Fevicryl 3D Outliner Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl Water Based Glass Colours (Tomato Red, Crystal Green), Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, 18” X 18” Canvas Board, Pencil, A3 White Papers, Yellow Carbon Paper, White Kundan/ Ornamental Stones, Colour Palette, Water Container

How beautiful is this backdrop made in Meenakari style for your Ganesha! With a few Fevicryl products you can also create a nice backdrop or a nice chowki for your Ganpati in the same style.

STEP 1 : Make the design
  • We are going to make a Meenakari backdrop for Ganesha
  • Take A3 white papers, draw the Minakari design in the size of the canvas on it.
  • Take the Canvas measuring 18” x 18” in size.
  • Trace the same design on the canvas with yellow carbon paper.
STEP 2 : Do the outline and fill the design
  • Paint the outline of the design with 3D Outliner Pearl Metallic Gold 352.
  • Let it dry.
  • Fill up the design also with 3D Outliner Pearl Metallic Gold 352.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 3 : The look.
  • Your design will look like this now.
STEP 4 : Paint the design with Glass colours
  • Paint the design with Water Based Glass Colours Tomato Red and Crystal Green
  • Leave it to dry completely.
STEP 5 : Add embellishments.
  • Enhance the minakari design canvas by sticking the white ornamental stones with Fabric Glue in between the design aesthetically.
  • Let it dry completely.
