This Onam wear something special. Here is an lovely inspiration of Ganesha painted in Kerala mural style.

STEP 1 : Source the base
  • Melmundu, inspired by the Kerala mural depiction of Lord Ganesh as seen in temples, is our DIY here.
  • Take a plain white dupatta with a golden border.
  • Take an A4 white paper, draw Lord Ganesha the Kerala mural style with a border.
  • Trace the same design on both the sides of the dupatta with yellow carbon paper.
  • Refer to the image.
STEP 2 : Paint the outline
  • Paint the outline of the design along with the border using Fevicryl Fabric Colour -  Crimson 204.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 3 : Start painting the pattern
  • Start painting the design using Fevicryl Fabric Colours - Black 202, Chrome Yellow 203, Crimson 204, Golden Yellow 209, Lemon Yellow 211, Orange 217, Sap Green 221, White 227 and Pearl Metallic - Gold 352.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 4 : The final look after painted
  • The painted design will look like this, at this stage.
  • Make sure to use an embroidery ring while painting.
STEP 5 : Finished look
  • Once completed. The dupatta will look like this.
