You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours White 27, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Sparkling Pearl Poppy Red 901, Golden Yellow 907, Golden Green 911, Light Pink 913, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Pencil, Plywood 7” X 14” (Approximately), Ruler, Assorted Mirrors, Small Foil Mirrors, Clay Carving Tools, Paper Cutter, Colour Palette, Water Container

Old is gold, a cliché that is undisputable! Here is a DIY that will suggest exactly that. This Indian art forms will be a piece of décor and will beautify your wall for sure.

STEP 1 : Source the base material

Take a plywood piece to make lippan style panel for this festive season.

STEP 2 : Simple drawing

Mark and cut the plywood measuring 7” x 14” approximately in size. Draw a simple geometrical diamond shape design on the plywood piece

STEP 3 : Preparing the dough / clay

Take Fevicryl Mouldit – resin base & hardener mix well to form an even soft dough

STEP 4 : Making the lippan style design

Take the dough, roll it to make the medium thin coils, filling the design by sticking the coils with Fabric Glue. We have made the auspicious motifs like the kalasha, Laxmi feet, Swastika, Aum, the shell and Shree in Devnagari style using dough. Stick the motifs in each diamond shape with Fabric Glue. Let it dry.

STEP 5 : Paint the base coat

Paint the base coat with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour White 27. Let it dry.

STEP 6 : Paint the final coat

Paint the final coat on the panel with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour White 27, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Sparkling Golden Yellow 907, Golden Green 911 and Light Pink 913. Let it dry.

STEP 7 : Final touches & look

Paint the auspicious motifs with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Sparkling Pearl Poppy Red 901 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352. Let it dry. Enhance the panel by sticking the assorted mirrors and foil mirrors using Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
