You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, Golden Yellow 09, Light Green 12, Orange 17, Prussian Blue 19, Sap Green 21, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32, Greenery 67, Teal Blue 68, Fine Art Brushes, Wooden Spatulas, A4 White Paper, Black Carbon Paper, Pencil, Colourful Beads, Kawri Shells, Ready Tassels, Orange and Green Wool, Scissors, Colour Palette, Water Container.

Create vibrant wall décor inspired by the Kerala Mural art form, painting beautiful faces on wooden spatulas with intricate designs and embellishments. 

STEP 1 : Procure the Base
  • Take two wooden spatulas, which will be the base for your Kerala Mural-inspired designs. 

STEP 2 : Paint the base coat & trace the design
  • Sketch two faces inspired by Kerala Mural art on A4 white paper. 

  • Paint the wooden spatulas with a base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27.  

  • Once dry, trace your sketched design onto the spatulas using black carbon paper. 

STEP 3 : Paint the Design
  • Paint the traced design using the following colours: Black 02, Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, Golden Yellow 09, Light Green 12, Orange 17, Prussian Blue 19, Sap Green 21, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32, Greenery 67, and Teal Blue 68. Allow it to dry. 

STEP 4 : Finishing touches
  • Thread orange and green wool through colourful beads and attach kawri shells and tassels at the ends. 

  • Secure the beaded strands onto the handle of each spatula to enhance the look. 

STEP 5 : Final look
  • Your Kerala Mural-inspired wooden spatulas are ready to decorate your wall!  

  • They will bring a touch of traditional Indian art to your space.
