An exotic theme inspired by Kerala Mural art is what we have chosen for our bottle art in this DIY. Peacock feathers enhancing the bottle and how! It’s creative, it’s interesting and in the end, you have a stunner of a bottle as your art décor collection.
Take a plain glass bottle.
Draw peacock feathers inspired by the Kerala mural art style on a sheet of cardboard.
Cut along the outlines of the pattern with a pair of scissors. This will be the base on which clay would be shaped, forming it into peacock feathers.
Take Fevicryl Mouldit – resin base & hardener, mix well to form an even soft dough.
Roll the dough to make a medium thin slab using a rolling pin.
Follow the pattern on the cardboard and make clay shapes. Stick each element delicately, using Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Use the clay coiling technique using clay tools for ease.
The two peacock feathers in clay would look like this.
Start painting the peacock feathers in true Kerala mural style using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, Golden Yellow 09, Light Green 12, Orange 17, Ultramarine Blue 23, Violet 25, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32, Deep Brilliant Purple 64, Neon Pink 018, Fevicryl Metallic Powders - Gold Powder 08.
