Here is a lovely tote bag which reminds you to the villages of God’s Own Country, Kerala. Paint your own with lovely and vibrant Fevicryl Fabric Colours and embellish them with your preferred adornments.
STEP 1 : Source the base
- We are going to paint a tote bag with a Kathakali face using Fevicryl Fabric Colours and embellish it to give it an attractive look.
- Take an A3 white paper, draw a Kathakali face on it.
- Take a plain white tote bag.
STEP 2 : Transfer the design
- Trace the same design on it with a yellow carbon paper.
STEP 3 : Paint the face.
- Paint the face with Fevicryl Fabric Colours - Burnt Sienna 201, Black 202, Chrome Yellow 203, Crimson 204, Dark Green 206, Lemon Yellow 211, Light Green 212, Orange 217 and Prussian Blue 219.
- Let it dry.
- The painted bag will look like this.
STEP 4 : Embellish the bag
- Enhance it further by accentuating the face, crown, and the jewelry by sticking assorted ornamental stones, stone chain, assorted glass beads, half cut pearls, sequins, cut dana, small mirrors & zardozi thread using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
- Stick few red stones randomly around the face with Fabric Glue.
- Leave it to dry.
