You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - White 27, Teal Blue 68 , Fevicryl Pearl Metallic Colour Gold- 352, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Glass Colour – Red, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Clay Carving Tools, Wooden Box Of Size 7”*4.5”*2 approx., Colour Palette, Water Container

Description :

Traditional Filigree art with a twist making it so attractive and pretty. We have made this box for festive season with Fevicryl Mouldit & Glass Colours to create an intricate jaal work(filigree) looks for gifting it to someone.

STEP 1 : Source the base material

Take a nice wooden box of your choice, here we used wooden box of 7”*4.5”*2 approx.

STEP 2 : Paint the base coat

Take Fevicryl Acrylic Colour White (27) and apply it as a base coat. Let it dry.

STEP 3 : Paint the second coat

Apply 2nd Coat of Fevicryl Glass Colour- Red

STEP 4 : Prepare the dough

Take Fevicryl Mouldit – resin base & hardener, mix well to form an even soft dough.

STEP 5 : Make the details

Take the clay and make thin elongated strips and create the pattern of Filigree work on box. Stick it using Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let it dry. Gradually add designs on side of boxes too.

STEP 6 : Paint the design

Begin painting the filigree pattern using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours – Pearl Metallic Gold(352), Teal Blue(68).

STEP 7 : Final look

Once ready the Filigree Box would look like this.
