Haldi Ceremony Jewellery

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Premium Fabric Glue, Fevicryl 3D Liner White, Pearl White, Buckram, Cotton Silk Fabric, Cotton Roll, Gota Patti Lace, Teardrop Gota Patti Cut Outs, Lace With Pearl Danglers, Foil Mirror, White Pearl Beads, Hooks For Earrings And Maang Tika, Fabric Scissor, Tailoring Chalk, Waste Cloth

Elegant and contemporary haldi ceremony jewellery or fabric jewellery that can be worn during haldi/mehendi fuctions or otherwise made using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.

STEP 1 : Take the base
  • Take a small piece of buckram measuring 1.5” x 9.5” as seen in the image given.
STEP 2 : Take the second base
  • Take a small piece of cotton silk fabric measuring 4” x 10.5” as seen in the image given.
  • Take the buckram piece previously cut and stick it on to the cotton silk fabric as seen in the image
  • Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue to stick.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 3 : Sticking
  • Fold the sides of the cotton silk fabric as shown
  • Fold the bottom part on to the buckram .
  • Apply Fevicryl Fabric Glue on it and fold the top part on it.
  • Give it a good finish by folding the edges as well
  • Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Tracing
  • Once the purple strip has dried, turn it around and draw diamonds on the surface as seen in the image using a fabric pencil.
STEP 5 : Gota lace
  • Take thin gold gota lace and stick them on the purple strip as seen in the image.
  • Take tear drop gota pieces, pearls and stick them on the strip
  • Stick them using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Fabric strip
  • Take a small piece of cotton silk fabric measuring 1.5” in width and 30” in length.
STEP 7
  • Fold 0.5” from both sides to create a strip as seen in the image given
  • Stick them using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
  • Let it dry
  • Make 3 such strips
STEP 8
  • Take gold gota strip and stick it on 2 of the fabric strip.
  • Stick it using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
  • Use fevicryl 3d outliner pearl white to create running stitch effect on the strip as seen
  • Let it dry
STEP 9 : Sticking of lace
  • Take a lace with danglers and stick it at the back of the fabric piece as shown.
  • Stick it using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
  • Let it dry
STEP 10 : Sticking of back fabric
  • Place the 2 strips and the place a plain fabric at the back as shown.
  • Stick it using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
  • Let it dry
STEP 11 : Cutting
  • Cut 2 fabric pieces measuring 1.5” x 1.5”
  • Cut 3 pairs of these fabric pieces ( 2 for earrings & 1 for maang tika)
STEP 12 : Buckram piece
  • Take 1 piece of buckram measuring 1.5” x 1.5” and draw a square inside it as shown in the image.
STEP 13 : Sticking
  • Place the buckram piece on the fabric as shown.
  • Stick it using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
  • Let it dry
STEP 14 : Sticking the gota lace
  • Turn the piece around and Place the 2 strips of gota lace on the plain fabric at the front as shown.
  • Stick it using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
  • Let it dry
STEP 15 : Folding and sticking
  • Fold the sides of the fabric, stick teardrop gota pieces, pearl and plastic mirrors on the piece as shown in the image. 
  • Stick it using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
  • Let it dry
STEP 16 : Lace and cotton
  • Turn the piece , apply glue and place lace with danglers, a small ring at the top edge and a small ball of cotton as shown in the image.
  • Once this is done cover the back with the plain fabric that was cut along with this piece.
  • Stick it using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
  • Let it dry
STEP 17 : Hooks
  • Attach hooks on to the ring that was stuck on the back.
  • The earring are ready.
STEP 18 : Strip
  • Take gold gota strip and stick it on the remaining fabric strip.
  • Stick it using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
  • Use Fevicryl 3D Outliner pearl white to create running stitch effect on the strip as seen
  • Let it dry
STEP 19 : Sticking and stitching
  • Take the remaining diamond piece with danglers and attach the leftover strip to it as shown.
  • Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue to stick it
  • Let it dry
  • Using needle and thread stitch the hook on to the edge of the strip.
STEP 20 : Backside
  • Take the final leftover plain piece and stick it on the bottom piece as shown.
  • Stick it using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
  • Let it dry

This beautiful and elegant fabric jewellery is ready to be worn for the mehendi function by the bride or by anyone who fancies a handcrafted jewellery.
