Festivals are here and here we are with yet another amazing DIY for you – Ganesha key holder. The mural style technique used to make this festive DIY is unique and gives a traditional vibe to your décor. Read more to learn how we made this.

STEP 1 : Source the base
  • We are going to make the key holder in mural style with clay Ganesha on the MDF coaster.
  • Take the coaster measuring approximately 6” x 6” in size.
STEP 2 : Mixing Mouldit
  • We are going to make the Banana Leaves and the Banana flower with small Ganesha idol in the front on it.
  • Take the Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 3 : Cover the slab with Mouldit
  • Take the dough, roll it to make the medium thin slab with rolling pin.
  • Cover the coaster with the rolled slab using Fabric Glue for sticking.
STEP 4 : Create the texture and idol with Mouldit
  • Create the texture on the slab with the comb.
  • Mark and cut the shapes of the banana leaves and flower, the triangular design, the land pastures out of the slab.
  • Take some clay to make the Ganesha out of it.
  • Stick the land pastures, the banana leaves and flower and the Ganesha on the coaster with Fabric Glue.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 5 : Paint the mural
  • Paint the Mural key holder with Acrylic Colour Black 02, Crimson 04, Lemon Yellow 11, Light Green 12, Orange 17, Sap Green 21, White 27, Pearl Metallic Bronze 355
  • Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Attachments
  • Attach the metal hooks below with little amount of the clay and Fabric Glue.
  • Let it dry.
