Don’t you agree that all that we need to cheer us up are a pair of smiling faces. Here are some cute little fridge magnets to help you with just that. Make a few to gift to friends and family too.
STEP 1 : Mix Mouldit
- We are going to make the fridge magnets using Mouldit.
- Take the Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 2 : Make a slab
- Take the dough, roll it to make the medium thin slab with rolling pin.
STEP 3 : Moulding the parts
- Mark and cut 2 squares measuring approximately 2” x 2” in size.
- Let it get semi dry, tap the corners of the square slabs on the hard surface to chamfer all the pointed edges of the square.
- Pierce the holes towards the bottom edge with pointed pin further to attach the threads.
- Take some clay to make the hands and the shoes of the boy and the girl holding the ice cream cone and the chocolate in their hand.
- Pierce the holes to the bottom side of the shoes too.
- Refer to the image.
STEP 4 : Assembly
- Take the cobbler thread, pass the thread through the holes which are made on the slab, attach the hands and the shoes appropriately using little amount of the clay and Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
- Draw and paint the facial details, the shoes, the hands with ice cream cone and the chocolate with Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Crimson 04, White 27, Flesh Tint 30
- Let it dry completely.
STEP 5 : Attachment
- Attach the fridge magnets from the rear side using little amount of the clay and Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
