Cute birds & fishes handcrafted beautifully using Fevicryl Mouldit, arranged in a unique and artistic manner. A DIY with technique and style a must try for all ardent hobbyists. Make shapes of birds of your choice, make the DIY bigger or as a miniature the scope is limitless.
Take Fevicryl Mouldit – resin base & hardener mix well to form an even soft dough. The birds are going to be crafted out of this clay.
Roll the clay to make a medium thick slab using a rolling pin.
Begin shaping the birds, fishes & beads using the clay slab, use clay carving tools for texturing. Pierce holes for the eyes of the birds & fishes. Make a few beads too with holes in each of them.
Strings would be passed through these later while assembling the composition.
Give a base coat of Fevicryl Acrylic Colour – White 27 to each of the pieces and let them all dry well.
Start painting the birds, fishes & beads using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Black 02, Orange 17, White 27, Teal Blue 68, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Pearl - Green 304 White 301, Pearl Orange 317, & Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Pearl Metallic - Bronze 355. Giving a metallic finish to each one of them. Let them dry completely.
With the help of a carpenter, make a wooden framework like you see in the image. Ensure the size is proportionate and suitable to the size of the birds & fishes that have been made. Drill holes on the top & middle rack of the frame.
Give a base coat of Fevicryl Acrylic Colour – White 27, let it dry.
Paint the frame using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Pearl - Green 304, giving a subtle metallic look. Let it dry.
String golden threads into each of the birds and fishes and pass them through the drilled holes on the framework. Arrange in a balanced manner dividing them aesthetically. Add in a few beads too like you see in the image. Once done, the final composition would look like this, pretty and splendid, just waiting to be placed in that special corner in your home.
