Floral Frame With Typo

You Will Need:

A unique DIY! A framework mounted on canvas with pretty florals handcrafted using Fevicryl Mouldit. A classy DIY that can accentuate and highlight your drawing room space.

STEP 1 : Source the base

Take a wooden frame 10”x 10” in size.

STEP 2 : Prepare the dough

Take Fevicryl Mouldit – resin base & hardener, mix well to make to make an even soft dough.

STEP 3 : Clay slab technique

Roll the dough to make a medium thin slab using a rolling pin.

STEP 4 : Making floral shapes

Take the clay slab and make floral shapes with coils like you see in the image. Use clay carving tools for ease. Stick the parts using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.

STEP 5 : Clay floral shapes

Make several floral shapes with the clay and let them dry.

STEP 6 : Painting the floral shapes

Start painting the florals using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Black 02, Crimson 04, Golden Yellow 09, Orange 17, Prussian Blue 19, White 27, Sky Blue 63, Deep Brilliant Purple 64, Salmon Pink 65, Neon Yellow 011, Neon Green 012 & Neon Pink 018, making them colourful & vibrant.

STEP 7 : Clay tendrils & creepers

Take some of the clay and shape them into delicate tendrils and creepers using clay tools. Place & stick them aesthetically on the frame like you see in the image.

STEP 8 : Paint the creepers

Paint the creepers & tendrils with a base coat of Fevicryl Acrylic Colour – White 27, before you begin to paint them with shades. Let it dry.

STEP 9 : Sticking the clay florals

Place and stick the florals in the midst of the greens using Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let them dry. 

STEP 10 : Preparing the canvas board

Take a 12” x 12” canvas board and mark the wooden frame within it. 

STEP 11 : Paint the borders

Paint the borders with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour – Prussian Blue 19. Paint a phrase in the window within the canvas board that reads ‘The art is long, life is short” using White 27. Let it dry.

STEP 12 : Final touches & look

Mount the frame on the canvas board using Fevicryl Fabric Glue, firmly. Here you have a DIY with meaning and words of inspiration.
