You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Black 02, Turquoise Blue 22, Ultramarine Blue 23, Leaf Green 62, Teal Blue 68, Fevicryl Fabric Flue, 12” x 12” and 12” X 16” Fine Art Canvas Board, Fine Art Brushes, Corrugated Sheet, Paper Cutter, Scissors, Paper Canvas, Pencil, Assorted Ball Chain, Assorted Stones, Assorted Glass Beads, Cut Dana, Metallic Rainbow Effect Sequins, Wooden Beads, Colour Palette, Water Container

A technique driven DIY that is a duo piece has been made with canvas and sequins and beads in combination with the shades used to paint them. A lovely wall décor, that is truly set apart. Fish being the theme makes it a piece of art that one would want to repeat with various other colour combinations.

STEP 1 : Source the base material

We are making a fish mural using corrugated sheets, fabric and embellishing it.
Take a corrugated sheet. Mark and cut a simple fish shape in two parts, the front and the tail part.
Paint the fish using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Black 02 and Turquoise Blue 22.
Let it dry.

STEP 2 : Paint the paper canvas sheet.

The fish scales are being made with painted paper canvas.
Take the paper canvas and paint it in a shading manner using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Ultramarine Blue 23, Leaf Green 62 and Teal Blue 68.
Let it dry.

STEP 3 : Cut the scales.

Mark and cut fish scales with a pair of scissors.
Refer to the image.

STEP 4 : Embellish the fish.

Enhance the fish by sticking embellishments on it.
Stick rainbow sequins and wooden beads where the mouth is, using Fabric Glue.
Let it dry.

STEP 5 : Arrange the scales.

Arrange and stick fish scales aesthetically on the body of the fish using Fabric Glue.
Let it dry completely.

STEP 6 : Enhance the tail.

Similarly, enhance the tail of the fish by sticking two lines of fish scales and the rest of the scales effect can be accentuated using assorted ball chain, assorted stones, assorted glass beads, cut dana rainbow sequins using Fabric Glue.
Let it dry.

STEP 7 : Final look

Take 12” x 12” and 12” x 16” canvas board.
Paint the canvas board with Acrylic Colours - Burnt Sienna 01, Pearl Metallic - Bronze 355, and Pearl Metallic - Gold 352.
Let it dry.
Stick the fish in two parts on the canvas using Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
Your fish mural with assorted embellishments is ready.
