Description :

Transform a metal kettle into an artistic elephant-shaped décor piece, inspired by Indian motifs with clay caparisons.

STEP 1 : Procure the Base
  • Paint the metal kettle with a base coat of Acrylic Colour mixed with Talcum powder. Let it dry. 

  • Draw the elephant design, using the kettle spout as the trunk. 

STEP 2 : Paint the base coat

Paint the body of the elephant with Acrylic Colours Turquoise Blue 22 and White 27. Allow it to dry. 

STEP 3 : Prepare the clay & build caparisons
  • Mix Fevicryl Mouldit resin and hardener to make the dough. 

  • Roll it into a thin slab, then cut it to create caparisons (elephant decorations) for the back and head. 

  • Add designs on the clay using modelling tools and stick them to the kettle with Fabric Glue. Let it dry. 

STEP 4 : Paint the Elephant kettle
  • Paint the elephant kettle with Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Golden Yellow 09, Orange 17, Teal Blue 68, and Pearl Metallic Gold 352. 

 

STEP 5 : Final look
  • Your Elephant Kettle is ready to decorate your living space with a unique and festive touch!
