You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colour - White 27, Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic - Gold 352, Fevicryl 3D Outliner Pearl Metallic - Gold 352, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Recycled metal tin, Scissors, Rolling Pin, Plastic Bowl (suitably in the size of the tin taken), Piece Of Cardboard (As The Base Of The Dome), Talcum Powder, Clay Carving Tools, Paper Cutter, Assorted Kundan (With White Stones), Colour Palette, Water Container

Description :

For the special occasion of Eid comes this beautifully handcrafted tea lite holder. Made with Fevicryl Mouldit and 3D Outliner, from materials that are simple & basic. Add this pretty DIY to your home space and bring in the festivities and joys.

STEP 1 : Source the base

Take a recycled metal tin, like we have chosen.

STEP 2 : Prepare the base

With the help of a paper cutter, cut out a window with an arch.

STEP 3 : Mould the elements

To develop & build the opening for the tealite holder, we would require Fevicryl Mouldit. Take Mouldit – resin base & hardener, mix well to make an even soft dough.

STEP 4 : Slab technique

Roll the dough to make a medium thin slab using a rolling pin. This would be for the dome of the tea lite.

STEP 5 : Clay coiling technique

Take some clay and coil it, arrange and stick it on the opening window meant for the tea lite. Do so using Fevicryl Fabric Glue, let it dry.

STEP 6 : Mould the shape of the dome on the tin

The clay slab made in step 4, use this to neatly cover the top portion of the tin, giving it a dome shape. Stick using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.

STEP 7 : Mould the crescent moon

With some clay, shape a crescent moon with a star, arranging it together. They will stick together while still wet. Leave it to dry.

STEP 8 : Start Painting

Paint the tin with a base coat of Fevicryl Acrylic Colour – White 27. Let it dry.

STEP 9 : Decorate the Tea light

Decorate the tea lite using Fevicryl 3D Outliner Pearl Metallic - Gold 352, creating a Tudor pattern on the periphery of the tea lite

STEP 10 : Final touches

Further accentuate the pattern by sticking white kundan stones within the spaces in the pattern using Fabric Glue. Create tiny floral motifs to make it all the more festive. Stick the crescent moon & star right on top of the dome using Fabric Glue. Your festive Eid tea light holder is now ready, to bring in all the brightness and happiness.
