Decorative Diya And A Letter Box

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Non Sticky Shilpkar, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, - 2 Steel Spoons, Jute Yarn, Mirrors (Diamond, Round and Teardrop Shaped), Ornamental Stones (Medium Sized White), Letter Box Of Metal, Jute Yarn, Mirrors (Diamond, Round and Teardrop Shaped), Ornamental Stones (Medium Sized White Coloured) .

Description :
For the decorative Diya - Simple ladles made into diyas, it's a lovely idea and can be made in different sizes. Decorated with plain jute and studded with mirrors it has turned into something really pretty. Hang them against the wall of your dining space and light tealites to get the real effect and feel.

For the letter box - A plain and simple letter box tranformed into something exquisite. Wound by good quality jute thread and studded aesthetically with mirrors using Shilpkar. It has retained a rustic look and feel and is a very good handmade gift to give away. 
STEP 1
Take 2 steel spoons to make the tealite holder which you can hang on the wall.
STEP 2
Wind the jute around both the spoons starting from the base of the spoon using Fabric Glue on regular intervals. Leave it to dry.
STEP 3
Take the Shilpkar - resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make an even dough. Take the dough and make small sized balls. Take the diamond shaped mirrors, embed each mirror in the small sized dough balls and shape it to create borders around the mirror. Your embedded mirrors with the diamond shapes would look like this after drying. Similarly, make with teardrop shaped and round shaped mirrors.
STEP 4
Create the design towards the bottom side of both the spoons using the embedded mirrors of diamonds, round and teardrop shaped with Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry.
STEP 5
Take some ball of dough. Roll the ball to make coils. Create the design of a creeper on the handle of the spoon by sticking the round shaped embedded mirrors at regular intervals with Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry.
STEP 6
Take some more of the ball of dough, roll the ball to make a slightly thick coil. Leave it to semi dry. Stick the coil on the edges of the spoon using Fabric Glue.
STEP 7
Take some embedded diamond shapes. Stick them on the edges of the spoon over the coil using Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry. Your tealites are ready. LETTER BOX:
STEP 8
Take a letter box made of metal.
STEP 9
Stick the jute yarn around the lock of the letter box in a radiating manner using Fabric Glue at regular intervals. Leave it to dry.
STEP 10
Similarly, cover the letter box with the jute yarn using Fabric Glue. Let it dry completely.
STEP 11
Take the Shilpkar - resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make an even dough. Take the dough and make small sized balls. Take the diamond shaped mirrors, embed each mirror in the small sized dough balls and shape it to create borders around the mirror. Your embedded mirrors with the diamond shape will look like this after drying. Similarly, make with teardrop shaped and round shaped mirrors.
STEP 12
Create the design on the front side of the letter box using the embedded mirrors of diamond, round and teardrop shaped with Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry.
STEP 13
Take some more of the dough. Roll the ball to make coils. Create the design by making swirls on the front side of the letter box in between the embedded diamond shapes by sticking it with Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry.
STEP 14
Create a creeper design on the flap of the letter box by making coils out of the clay along with few round shaped embedded mirrors by sticking it with Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry.
STEP 15
Take the dough and make tiny balls out of it. Enhance the letter box by embedding few white ornamental stones in the tiny clay balls. Stick these embedded ornamental stones on the flap of the letter box as well as to create a border design towards the bottom side of the letter box. Leave it to dry.
