Decorative Candle Holder

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Crimson 04, Lemon Yellow 11, Mauve 15, Pink 18, White 27, Deep Brilliant Purple 64, Greenery 67, Teal Blue 68, Fevicryl 3D Outliner White 707, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Small Plastic Bowl ( To Take Out Mould), Paper Cutter, Clay Carving Tools, Pencil, Colour Palette, Water Container

A Cute little concept here in our DIY, that will be interesting to do and so gratifying towards the end. A simple candle or tealite holder in Mouldit in shape of the flowers with the floral patterns on it strewn around.  

STEP 1 : Prepare the dough

Take Fevicryl Mouldit – resin base & hardener, mix well to form an even soft dough.

STEP 2 : Clay slab technique

Roll the dough to make a medium thick slab using a rolling pin.

STEP 3 : Prepare to take out moulds

Take the plastic ball to take out the moulds by placing the rolled slab one at a time. Take out 6 pieces like these. Take 2 similar pieces, mark and cut the upper edge like a lotus petal. Make a few beads with the dough further to attach in between 2 parts. Let it dry.

STEP 4 : Preparing the drawing

Draw the simple pattern design on the small bowls. Refer to the image.

STEP 5 : Paint the base coat

Paint the base coat of white with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour White 27. Let it dry.

STEP 6 : Paint the design

Paint the pattern design with vibrant colours with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Crimson 04, Lemon Yellow 11, Mauve 15, Pink 18, White 27, Deep Brilliant Purple 64, Greenery 67 and Teal Blue 68. Let it dry. Refer to the image.

STEP 7 : Making the outline

Paint the outline of the pattern design with Fevicryl 3 D Outliner White 707. Leave it to dry.

STEP 8 : Assembling and final look

Attach the parts to build the candle holder or tealite holder using the beads in between using Fabric Glue.
