Make this beautiful decorative bird using Mouldit and Acrylic Colours. Build the structure with silver foil to make it lighter and cover it with clay. This will be a brilliant idea to make any figurines.
STEP 1 : Source the base material
- We are going to make a bird figurine using silver foil and Fevicryl Mouldit.
- Take silver foil, shape it to make the bird.
STEP 2 : Prepare the wings and cover the bird
- Cover the silver foil bird with masking tape evenly.
- Take a corrugated sheet mark and cut 2 wings for the bird.
STEP 3 : Prepare the clay & cover the bird with the clay
- Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix well to make an even dough.
- Take the dough, roll it to make a medium slab with rolling pin.
- Cover the foil bird with the slab and paste it using Fabric Glue on the foil. Let it dry.
- Take the corrugated sheet wings, cover them too with the slab and attach the wings to the bird with a little amount of clay and Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
- Take some clay to make the details like the beak and crown, paste it using Fabric Glue.
STEP 4 : Paint the bird
- Paint the bird with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Golden Yellow 09, Lemon Yellow 11, Light Green 12, Maroon 14 and Orange 17. Let it dry.
