Cushion Covers
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours – Carnival Pack & Fine Art Brushes. Plain White Cotton Cloth, Pencil, Ruler, Cotton Batting, Colour Palette, Water Container.
Description :
Create a pair of unique and vibrant cushion covers with an abstract, block-patterned design. This project uses the Fevicryl Carnival Pack to paint a beautiful light-to-dark gradient effect, resulting in a stylish and personalized addition to your home.
STEP 1 : Prepare Fabric
- Take a piece of plain white cotton cloth and cut it into the desired shape and size for your cushion cover.
STEP 2 : Create Grid
- Using a pencil and a ruler, draw a grid of rows and columns on the fabric to create the blocks for your design.
STEP 3 : Paint the Blocks
- Take the Fevicryl Carnival Pack and begin painting the blocks in different shades.
- Keep painting the blocks, one by one, with different colours until they are all filled in.
STEP 4 : Create Gradients
- Mix and match different shades from the kit to create lighter and darker versions of each colour.
- Paint the blocks with these shades to create a beautiful light-to-dark gradient pattern.
STEP 5 : Add Details
- Use fine, thin brushes to add small details or outlines to the design with Fevicryl Carnival Pack White and Red Colours.
STEP 6 : Assemble the Cover
- Once the paint is dry, take another piece of fabric of the same size.
- Stitch three of the four ends of the cushion covers together leaving one end open.
STEP 7 : Fill and Finish
- Fill the cushion cover with cotton batting through the open end.
- Once filled, stitch the fourth end. This completes your beautiful hand-painted cushion cover.
