Description :

Create a vibrant and eco-friendly Ganesha festival backdrop using corrugated sheets, waste fabric, and Mouldit. Add intricate details with clay motifs and bright Acrylic Colours for a festive touch.

STEP 1 : Prepare the Base
  • We are going to make a ring backdrop for the Ganesha Festival using a corrugated sheet, waste fabric pieces, and Mouldit.
  • Take a corrugated sheet and mark and cut a ring measuring 12” in diameter.
  • Secure the edges of the corrugated ring with masking tape.
STEP 2 : Cover the Ring
  • Cover the ring with strips of waste fabric using Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
STEP 3 : Create Motif Design
  • Decorate the ring with motifs such as butta, peacock, flowers, lotus, and scallops.
  • Mix Mouldit resin base and hardener to make an even dough.
  • Use the dough to create the motifs and coil work scallops using clay modelling tools and Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
  • Stick the motifs aesthetically on the ring using Fabric Glue.
  • Paint the motifs and the background using Acrylic Colours Black 02, Crimson 04, Golden Yellow 09, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27, Pearl White 301, Pink 303, Green 304, Blue 305, Lilac 307, Pearl Metallic Gold 352, 3D Outliners Green 704, White 707, Neon Orange 711, Neon Pink 712, and Pearl Metallic Gold 352. Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Finishing Touches
  • Take the blue and pink cords and stick them to the rear side of the ring using Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
  • Cover the stuck cords with another piece of the corrugated ring using Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
STEP 5 : Final Look

Place the decorative ring behind the Ganesha idol as a backdrop this festive season.
