Description :

We all love accessories in some form or the other, isn’t it? To then personalise them to one’s taste, wouldn’t that be interesting! This DIY is one such project where you can customise a neck piece to your choice & theme. We have imbibed women from varied Indian artforms as our inspiration, making coin shapes to make the composition.

STEP 1 : Prepare the dough

Take Fevicryl Mouldit – resin base & hardener, mix well to make a soft even dough.

STEP 2 : Clay slab technique

Roll the dough to make a medium thick slab using a rolling pin.

STEP 3 : Shaping the coins forms

Take the clay slab and shape them into 7–8-coin shapes and make beads too. Ensure to make a hole in the beads as well as the coin shapes using clay carving tools. Let them dry.

STEP 4 : Drawing the faces

Draw faces of women inspired from various Indian artforms on each of the clay coins.

STEP 5 : Painting the coins

Start painting the coins using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Lemon Yellow 11, Light Green 12, Orange 17, Pink 18, Prussian Blue 19, Violet 25, White 27, Flesh Tint 30, Cerulean Blue 32 & Leaf Green 62. Let them dry.

STEP 6 : Painting the beads

Start painting the beads in colourful shades using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Lemon Yellow 11, Light Green 12, Orange 17, Pink 18, Prussian Blue 19, Violet 25, White 27, Flesh Tint 30, Cerulean Blue 32 & Leaf Green 62. Let them dry.

STEP 7 : Assembling & final look
