Navratri is all about fun and frolic and bright garbha attire and accessories! Here is a quick DIY to make your own Garbha Choker. Read more to find the procedure

STEP 1 : Make the base
  • We are going to make the choker for the festival of Navaratri using fabric, 3D outliner, foil mirrors, beads and kawri shells.
  • Take the piece of Black fabric and the paper canvas measuring approximately 1 ½” broad.
  • Cover the paper canvas with black fabric by securing the ends with Fabric Glue.
  • Similarly mark and cut the squares for the earrings also.
STEP 2 : Prepare the design
  • Draw and paint the simple design inspired from the Kutchi Bharat work using foil mirrors sticking with Fabric Glue and 3D Outliner Red 701, Yellow 703, Light Green 704, Orange 705 and White 707.
  • Let it dry completely.
STEP 3 : Enhance the design
  • Take the yellow, orange glass beads and kawri shells.
  • Attach the beads and shells with needle and threads.
  • Refer to the image.
STEP 4 : Assembly
  • Attach the black cord to the choker with the silver bead and the earring attachments neatly.
  • Your choker will look like this.
