You Will Need:

Isn’t cute and bright décor one of the reasons we try and find some joy in our surroundings? Fresh colours remind us of the vast bounties of nature and fill us with refreshing thoughts. Here is one such piece inspired from nature and fresh colours. Made with things available easily at home this will be such a cool DIY to create.
STEP 1 : Source and cut the base
- We are going to make a décor with bird and flower motifs using simple things like corrugated sheet, tissue paper, news paper and barbeque stick.
- Take the corrugated sheet mark and cut the shape of the bird out of it.
STEP 2 : Cut various shapes
- Similarly mark and cut 6 more bird, which are little smaller than the main bird.
- Cut few flowers and the wings from the sheet.
- Refer to the image.
STEP 3 : Stick the layers together
- Stick the layers starting from the bigger to the smaller along with the wing on the top side using Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
- Refer to the image.
- Make 2 such layered effect birds.
STEP 4 : Cover it with newspaper
- First stick the layer of newspaper on both the birds with Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
STEP 5 : Stick tissue on all the shapes
- Stick one layer of the tissue paper on the birds with Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
- Similarly stick the tissue layer on the flowers with Fabric Glue.
- Make 2 small hearts with the corrugated sheet and cover it with tissue paper using Fabric Glue.
- Refer to the image
STEP 6 : Colour Them
- Take a small piece of the corrugated sheet; draw and cut the dialogue cloud out of it.
- Paint the bird, the flowers, the hearts, the dialogue cloud with Acrylic Colours Black 02, Crimson 04, Golden Yellow 09, Orange 17, White 27, Sky Blue 63, Greenery 67 and Neon Pink 018.
- Let it dry.
STEP 7 : Make a stand
- We are going to make a stand using Mouldit slab and barbeque stick.
- Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
- Take the dough, roll it to make the medium thick slab with a rolling pin.
- Mark and cut 2 ½” x 2 ½” size slab out of it.
- Pierce the barbeque stick in the slab and secure it with little amount of clay and Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
- Refer to the image.
STEP 8 : Paint the stand
- Paint the stand with Acrylic Colour Black 02.
- Let it dry.
STEP 9 : Assembly
- Attach and stick the bird, the flowers and the heart on the stand using Fabric Glue.
- Take the dialogue cloud, write and paint “c’est la vie” on it with Acrylic Colour Black 02.
- Let it dry.
- Stick the cloud on the beak of the bird using Fabric Glue.
- Leave it t dry.
