You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, Orange 17, Pink 18, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32, Neon Green 012, Neon Pink 018, Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Paper Canvas, Ceramic Plate, Rolling Pin, Paper Cutter, Pencil, Scissors, Colourful Pom-Poms, Ready Tassels, Colour Palette, Water Container

India is a land of myriad colours and oh don’t we all love bright and vibrant colours in our décor too! Here is just the décor idea for this festive season to make that lonely corner shine – traditional wall plates.

STEP 1 : Mix Fevicryl Mouldit

We are going to make the ceramic plate décor with mixed media using the clay elephant and the camel caparisons.
We are going to make elephant and camel figures with Mouldit.
Take the Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.

STEP 2 : Roll the dough

Take the dough, roll it to make a medium thin slab with rolling pin.

STEP 3 : Make the patterns

Mark and cut elephant and camel out of the slab.
Let the figures dry completely.
Take some clay to make the leg and neck jewellery like the bells of the elephant and camel.
Stick it with Fabric Glue.
Let it dry.

STEP 4 : Paint the base

Paint the figures with the base coat of Acrylic colours White 27.
Let it dry.

STEP 5 : Make the comparison

We are going to make the caparisons décor using the paper canvas.
Mark and cut the paper canvas in the size of the back of the elephant and the hump of the camel.
Draw and paint the simple design on the caparisons using Acrylic Colours Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, Orange 17, Pink 18, Cerulean Blue 32, Neon Green 012 And Neon Pink 018.
Let it dry.
Attach the caparisons on the back of the animal figures with Fabric Glue.
Let it dry.

STEP 6 : Paint the animals

Paint the elephant and the camel with Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Orange 17, Cerulean Blue 32 and white 27.
Paint the leg and the neck jewellery with Pearl metallic Gold 352.
Let it dry.
Attach embroidery thread on the mouth of the camel to depict rein.

STEP 7 : Finishing

Paint the ceramic Plates with small border design on the inner edge of the plate Acrylic Colour Chrome Yellow 03, Orange 17, Cerulean Blue and White 27.
Attach the ready tassels and pom-poms to the caparisons of the elephant and the camel aesthetically using Fabric Glue.
Let it dry completely.
