You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Light Green 12, Orange 17, Prussian Blue 19, White 27, Flesh Tint 30, Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine art Canvas Board 12” x 16”, Fine Art Brushes, Pencil, Corrugated Box Flap, Paper Canvas (Buckram), Scissors, Paper Cutter, Colour Palette, Water Container.

Description :

A day to remember our soldiers a day to celebrate our country, the Republic Day indeed calls for a country wide celebration. Here is a republic day DIY that encompasses the spirit of this day using Fevicryl products.

STEP 1 : Source the base

• We are going to make the mixed media canvas for the Republic Day. • Take the plain canvas board measuring 12” x 16” in size.

STEP 2 : Paint the base

• Paint the board with the shade of dark blue made by mixing Acrylic Colour Black 02 and Prussian Blue 19. • Let it dry completely.

STEP 3 : Draw the hands

• We are going to make the hands with corrugated board. • Take the board and draw two hands on it.

STEP 4 : Cut along the outlines

• Mark and cut along the outlines of the corrugated hands with a paper cutter. • Refer to the image.

STEP 5 : Paint the hands

• Paint the hands with Acrylic Colours Orange 17, White 27 and Flesh Tint 30. • Let it dry completely.

STEP 6 : Make the bangles

• Take Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it to make the even dough. • Take the dough to make the bangles for the hand with coil technique. • Stick the coil bangles on the hands with Fabric Glue. • Let it dry.

STEP 7 : Draw the butterflies

• We are going to make the paper canvas butterflies. • Draw about 36 butterflies on it.

STEP 8 : Paint the butterflies

• Paint the butterflies in Tri Colour with Acrylic Colours Black 02, Light Green 12, Orange 17 and White 27. • Let it dry completely.

STEP 9 : Cut the butterflies

• Cut along the outlines of the butterflies neatly with a pair of the scissors. • Paint the outlines of the butterflies with Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Gold 352 • Leave it to dry completely.

STEP 10 : Assembly

• Arrange and stick the hands, the butterflies on the canvas aesthetically with Fabric Glue. • Let it dry. • Paint the bangles with Tri Colour with Acrylic Colours Black 02, Light Green 12, Orange 17 and White 27. • Refer to the image.
