You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow 03, Orange 17, White 27, Teal Blue 68, Neon Orange 017, Neon Pink 018, Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Canvas Sheet, Fine Art Brushes, Pencil, Candy Sticks, Ornamental Stone Chain, Scissors, Polish Paper, Golden Lace, Golden Beads, Colour Palette, Water Container.

Description :

A creative family is a happy family! Make this cute Diwali DIY with your kids and spread some cheer.

STEP 1 : Source Candy sticks

• We are going to make a candy stick diya toran for the occasion of this Diwali Festival. • Take candy sticks.

STEP 2 : Mark and cut the sticks

• Mark and cut starting from big to smaller sizes with a pair of the scissors. • Refer to the image.

STEP 3 : Sticking the diyas

• Stick the cut pieces of the candy sticks in the shape of the diya using Fabric Glue. • Let it dry. • Take three pieces of the candy sticks and stick it from the rear side of the diya by keeping the centre candy stick slightly bigger than the rest to stick the flame of diya.

STEP 4 : Make more

• Make 5 such diya shapes with candy sticks.

STEP 5 : Making the flame of diya

• Take the canvas sheet, mark and cut the flame in the shape of a leaf out of it. • Paint the leaf shape flame in shading effect using Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow 03 and Orange 17. • Let it dry.

STEP 6 : Paint the candy sticks

• Paint the candy stick diyas with doodle designs on it using Acrylic Colours White 27, Teal Blue 68, Neon Orange 017, Neon Pink 018 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352. • Let it dry. • Stick the painted flame on the top side of the diya using Fabric Glue. • Let it dry.

STEP 7 : Enhance the diyas

• Take ornamental stone chain and decorate each diya by sticking it aesthetically using Fabric Glue. • Let it dry.

STEP 8 : Assembly

• Take the golden lace and golden beads to make the strand. • Stick the beaded strand from the rear side of the diya using Fabric Glue. • Let it dry. • Attach the diya with beaded strand on the golden lace neatly. • Your toran of diya is ready.
