Butterfly Box
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Modge Podge, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours, Fine Art Brush, Wooden box, Gesso, Decoupage tissue, Varnish, Sandpaper
Description :
It was a waste box at first which is being converted into decoupaged box to keep valuables.
STEP 1
First of all, clean the box and apply sand paper gently to make a smooth surface. Clean from inside as well if needed.
STEP 2
Apply 2 coats of gesso on outer surface. Make sure the base would not be seen. Let it dry.
STEP 3
Apply very thin layer of Fevicryl Modge Podge and stick the decoupage tissue on it. Press gently on the tissue removing any air bubbles. Let it dry. ( make sure you peel off 2 layers of tissue before using it.)
Apply tissue all over the box accept the bottom.
STEP 4
Paint the box from inside with the Fevicryl Acrylic Colours to get a complete look. (2 coats preferably) let it dry.
STEP 5
Apply 2 coats of Modge Podge on all the surfaces to seal the work. Let it dry completely and finally apply Varnish.
