Bottle Teddy Bears
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Crimson 04, Dark Brown 05, Light Green 12, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27, Deep Brilliant Purple 64, Teal Blue 68, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Plastic Bottles From Scrap, Rolling Pin, Paper Cutter, Clay Carving Tools, Colour Palette, Water Container
Description :
Make a cute pair of bears for a vibrant accent from upcycled bottles in a jiffy. Fevicryl Mouldit and Acrylics make this DIY so much fun to create.
STEP 1 : Source the base
- We are going to make the teddy bear with bottles.
- Take the used bottles from scrap.
STEP 2 : Mix Fevicryl Mouldit
- We are going to make the head of the teddy bear on the mouth of the bottle as well as a quilt covering the teddy with Mouldit.
- Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 3 : Mould the head
- Take the dough to make the head and the dress using clay carving tools, the cap of the bottle and Fabric Glue for sticking.
- Let it dry.
- Refer to the image.
STEP 4 : Mould the complete animal
- Take the dough roll it to make a medium thin slab with rolling pin.
- Take tools to create the texture on the slab (you can use clay carving tools or any other things for texturing like we have used the edge of terracotta diya).
- Cover the slab around the bottle using Fabric Glue for sticking.
- Let it dry.
- Make 2 such bottles.
- Refer to the image.
STEP 5 : Paint and finish the animals
- Paint the bottle teddy using Acrylic Colours Black 02, Crimson 04, Dark Brown 05, Light Green 12, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27, Deep Brilliant Purple 64 and Teal Blue 68
- Let it dry completely.
