Description :
Make your own furniture accents with decoupage. Here is a wooden bench which has been enhanced with Fevicryl Colours and paper cut outs and then sealed with Fevicryl Modge Podge. This one is sure to grab eyeballs!
STEP 1 : Painting the base
• Here is the method to do Decoupage on a wooden bench.
• For that, take the plain wooden bench. Paint it with a base coat of Acrylic Colour - White 27. Let it dry.
• Paint with a second coat of navy blue made by mixing Acrylic Colours - Black 02 and Prussian Blue 19. Leave it to dry completely.
• Create a rustic and crude effect, by removing the navy blue shade from the bench by gently rubbing it with polish paper.
• Refer to the main image.
STEP 2 : Taking prints
• Take the colourful prints of the stags to begin decoupage on the bench.
STEP 3 : Cut and stick the shapes
• Cut along the outlines neatly with a pair of scissors.
• Stick the stags randomly on the painted surface of the wooden bench using Modge Podge Gloss. Remove the air bubbles neatly and secure the paper print. Let it dry.
• Draw few trees, bushes, creepers and flowers, randomly in between the stags with a white pencil.
STEP 4 : Painting the motifs
• Paint the trees, bushes, creepers and flowers using Acrylic Colours - Chrome Yellow 03, Prussian Blue 19, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32, Sky Blue 63, Greenery 67, Teal Blue 68 and Ultra Violet 69. Leave it to dry completely.
• Apply 2 to 3 coats of Modge Podge Gloss on the bench evenly for a finished look. Let it dry.
