Baa Bookend

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours : Black-02, White-27, Orange 17, Lemon Yellow -11, Light Green-12, Ultramarine Blue-23, Deep Brilliant Purple-64 , Burnt Sienna -01, Tracing Paper, Pencil , Cutter, Scale , Color Palette, Water Container, Scissor, Brush 3 No, Yellow Carbon Paper, Black Foam Sheet, Googly Eyes, Fevicryl 3D Outliner White (707), Black- Brown- White Wool.

Description :

Easy and clever bookends made using materials like foam, yarn, mouldit which are stuck using Fevicryl Fabric Glue. It can be used to keep your books in line just like the sheeps.

STEP 1 : Make the base
  • Take mould it to create the base.
STEP 2 : Make a slab out of mould it measuring 4” x 6”.
  • Make 2 such slabs.
  • Fold the slab in the middle when the slab is semi dry.
  • Make sure the fold is at a 90 degree angle.
  • Let it dry.
  • Once dried, sand the edges to remove out any uneven surface.
STEP 3 : Tracing of design
  • Paint the slab white using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours.
  • Let it dry.
  • Choose a design with leaves in them and transfer the design on to the slab as seen in the image
  • Use a yellow carbon sheet and pencil to transfer the design on to the slab.
STEP 4 : Paint the leaves in beautiful autumn and spring colours as seen in the image
  • Use Fevicryl Acrylic Colours to paint the leaves.
  • Let it dry
STEP 5
  • Outline and highlight the leaves using Fevicryl Acrylic colour black.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Making of sheep
  • Make pompoms Using black, brown and white woolen yarns
  • Make two such pompoms and trim them to have a good shape to the pompom
  • This will become the body of the animal.
STEP 7 : Face of the sheep
  • Draw the face of the sheep as shown above on foam sheet.
  • Draw 2 such faces and cut them using paper scissors.
STEP 8 : All the body parts
  • Using Mould it, make legs for the sheep and colour them black as seen in the image above
  • Stick googly eyes on the sheep face using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
  • Using Fevicryl 3D Outliner white, draw the nose and mouth as seen in the image.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 9 : Assembling of the sheep
  • Stick the legs and face to the body as shown in the image.
  • Make sure to stick the face a bit on the side like to indicate that the sheep is looking sideways.
  • Stick it using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
  • Let it all dry
  • Make two such sheeps.
STEP 10
  • Stick the sheep on to the bookend slab that was made as shown in the image above.
  • Stick the other sheep on the 2nd slab.
  • Stick it using fevicryl Fabric glue.
  • Let it all dry
STEP 11 : Final product.
  • The baa-bookend is ready to be used , to be kept on your side table or two be made and gifted to a dear one.
