Description :
Aztec pattern on clocks placed on a big wooden spatula pared witn an aztec inspired canvas can brighten up your study space or even a garden / verandah space amidst green foliage. With perfect lighting it can transform into your favourite place in the house.
STEP 1
Take a 12” x 24” sized stretched canvas.
STEP 2
Take an A3 sized white paper. Draw an Aztec pattern design on it. Trace the same design on the canvas using yellow carbon paper.
STEP 3
Take the card papers that are in shades of blue. Cut the papers in a zig- zag manner and stick appropriately on the traced design using Fabric Glue. Create few geometrical patterns from the Aztec design by using yellow and orange felt fabric. Stick the cut felt patterns on the trace design using Fabric Glue. Paint the outlines of few patterns with 3D Cone Outliner Non Sticky - Red 701, Blue 702 and Yellow 703. Leave it to dry. Paint the pattern using Water Based - Glass Colours - Golden Yellow 852, Sea Blue 853, Ultramarine Blue 859 and Orange 860. Leave it to dry.
STEP 4
Similarly, outline few designs with Fevicryl 3D Cone Outliner Non Sticky - Red 701, Blue 702, Yellow 703 and Fevicryl 3D Outliner Non Sticky Glitter - Aqua Blue 416. Paint the outlined Aztec design using Water Based - Glass Colours - Golden Yellow 852, Sea Blue 853, Ultramarine Blue 859 and Orange 860. Leave it to dry. Enhance the Aztec print design by sticking shades of blue card paper, colourful wooden beads, yellow and orange felt fabric pieces, yellow, orange, red and blue woollen strands, pom-poms, square and triangular mirrors, zardosi beads, golden sequins and blue bead strands with Fabric Glue. Let it dry completely and your Aztec design canvas is ready.
Spatula Clock:
STEP 5
Take two wooden spatulas and the thick wooden blocks to make the Aztec pattern design for clock. Cut and remove a circle from the spatulas measuring 1”in radius further to fix the clock dial in it.
STEP 6
Paint the spatulas and the wooden blocks with Acrylic Colour - White 27 as the base coat to prevent the absorption. Leave it to dry.
STEP 7
Paint the spatulas in a shading manner using Acrylic Colours - Chrome Yellow 03, Orange 17, Prussian Blue 19, Ultramarine Blue 23 and White 27. Leave it to dry.
STEP 8
Draw the face of a sun and moon along with the Aztec design on the hands of spatulas with a white pencil. Refer to the image.
STEP 9
Paint the sun and the moon with the Aztec design on the hands of the spatulas using Acrylic Colours - Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Orange 17, Prussian Blue 19, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27 and Sky Blue 63. Paint the outline of their eyes along with few stars on the moon spatula using 3D Outliner Glitter - Silver 402. Leave it to dry completely.
STEP 10
Paint one of the blocks in a shading manner with Acrylic Colours - Chrome Yellow 03 and Orange 17. Take a colour print for the Aztec design. Cut the orange design in aq zig- zag manner and the blue printed design into strips. Stick the respective design on the block using Fabric Glue. Paint few similar Aztec motifs and design patterns on the blocks from the spatulas using Acrylic Colours - Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Orange 17, Prussian Ble 19, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27 and Sky Blue 63.
STEP 11
Enhance the blocks and the spatulas by sticking, colourful wooden beads, square and triangular mirrors, zardosi beads, orange and blue bead strands using Fabric Glue. Attach the dial and the clock attachments from the rear side of the spatulas.
