You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Golden Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Neon Yellow 011, Green 012, Orange 017, Pink 018, 12” X 12” Sized Fine Art Canvas Board, Fine Art Brushes, A4 Sized White Paper, Yellow Carbon Paper, Pencil, Colour Palette, Water Container, Floral Stencil

DIY canvas with Bharatnatyam-inspired dancing figures using Fevicryl Neon Colours ​

STEP 1 : Source the base material
  • We are going to paint the Indian Classical Bharatnatyam dancing figures on the canvases.
  • Take 12” x 12” sized four Canvas boards.
STEP 2 : Paint the canvases
  • Paint the Canvas boards with Acrylic Colours Neon Yellow 011, Green 012, Orange 017 and Pink 018 respectively. Let it dry.
STEP 3 : Draw and paint the design
  • Take the floral stencil, sponge dab the stencil on the painted canvas using Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Golden Yellow 03, Crimson 04 and neon pink 018 respectively. Let it dry.
  • Make sure that it rotates and changes the direction of the stencil while dabbing. So that you will get different patterns on the canvas.
  • Take an A4 sized white paper, draw four dancing figures in silhouette on it.
  • Trace the same on the Canvases with yellow carbon paper.
  • Paint the figures in silhouette with Acrylic Colour Black 02 on the canvases. Leave it to dry.
STEP 4 : Final look

Your canvases with the classical dancers will look like this.
