Make a cute and trending cactus décor for your living space with Fevciryl range of products in a jiffy. This best out of waste DIY is sure to add charm to your interiors.
STEP 1 : Source the base
- We are going to make the cactus planter using old planters, corrugated sheet to make the cactus, assorted mirrors, Mouldit and Fevicryl colours.
- Take 2 rectangular corrugated sheet pieces.
STEP 2 : Cut the shape of cactus
- Draw and cut the cactus shape out of the sheet.
- Refer to the image
STEP 3 : Paint the base
- Paint the cactus cut outs with Acrylic Colours Light Green 12, Orange 17, White 27, Leaf Green 62 and Neon Yellow 011.
- Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Mix Mouldit
- We are going to decorate cactus cut outs with lippan style design using Mouldit and assorted mirrors.
- Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 5 : Make the Lippan art on the cactus
- Take the dough, roll it to make coils.
- Take assorted mirrors and dough, embed a few mirrors in the clay. Let it dry completely.
- Create the lippan style design on the cactus using embedded mirrors, assorted mirrors in various shapes as well as the Mouldit coils with the help of the carving tools and Fabric Glue for sticking.
STEP 6 : Decorate the planters
- Take the old planter holder, paint the planter with Acrylic Colours Light Green 12, Orange 17 and White 27.
- Let it dry.
- Enhance and decorate the plater with mirrors using Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
STEP 7 : Assembly
- Attach and stick the cactus in the planter with clay and Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
- Filled up the planter with small pebbles.
- Your cactus planter is ready to decorate.
