STEP 1 : Source the base
  • We are going to make the tree with the texture on the bottle with the decorative woodpecker handles using Mouldit.
  • Take plain glass bottle.
STEP 2 : Mix Mouldit
  • Take Mouldit resin base and hardener, mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 3 : Mould the tree
  • Take the dough, roll it to make a medium thick slab with a rolling pin.
  • Mark and cut the slab in the shape of the tree with only the branches.
  • Stick the cut tree in the centre of the bottle with little amount of Fabric Glue.
  • Let it dry.
  • Create the tree bark texture on the tree with clay carving tools and paper cutter.
  • Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Make the shape of the birds
  • We are going to make the woodpecker with clay and corrugated sheet.
  • Take the piece of the corrugated sheet; draw and cut the shape of birds out of it.
STEP 5 : Cover the cutouts with Mouldit
  • Mark and cut the outline of the bird and his wings from the slab.
  • Stick the cut slab on the bird cutout along with the wings with Fabric Glue.
  • Let it dry completely.
STEP 6 : Painting and assembly
  • Paint the tree , the background of the tree and the bird with Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Dark Brown 05, Dark Green 06, Orange 17,White 27, Sky Blue 63, Neon Orange 012 and Neon Pink 018
  • Let it dry completely.
  • Stick the bird appropriately using Fabric Glue and little amount of the clay.
  • Let it dry completely.
